How to draw cute junk food – Easy Step by step Tutorial
I am going to be breaking down junk food into simple shapes so you can draw it easily.
I’m going to start with the hamburger first.
Let’s draw the hamburger bun first. We are just going to draw a semicircle.
It doesn’t have to be perfect, remember that.
Next, we’ll draw some lettuce and a nice, ripe tomato slice underneath the lettuce like this:
Easy, right?
Please note that I am drawing this cute junk food in cartoon style.
If you’re looking for a book to teach you how to draw cute foods in a kawaii style, there is no better book than this!
Next, I’m going to draw the drippy cheese slice in the hamburger.
Just draw multiple “u” shapes to indicate the dripping cheese.
Next, it’s time to draw a juicy burger patty. Don’t make your lines perfect – this will make the junk food look more real!
Next, I’ll finish the filling by adding one more slice of lettuce.
You can add as many layers as you want to your hamburger to make it juicy and big!
I’ll finally finish the hamburger by adding the second burger bun.
Now, it’s time to draw the cola.
I’ll draw a big cup to the right of the burger.
Next, I’ll draw the cup lid and a huge L-shaped straw for the cola.
I’ve finished drawing the burger and the cola.
Now, it’s time to draw the french fries!
I’ll start with a simple container on the left side of the burger.
And I’ll draw each individual french fry inside the french fries container.
This is a lot of fun for kids.
Remember to vary the size and thickness of each fry to make it look more realistic!
Last, I’ll add cute eyes and mouths to our cute junk food. Just to make our junk food look more kawaii and cute.
And we’re done drawing the junk food!
Now, it’s time to color the junk food.
How to color the cute junk food
Remember to clean up any lines if you have any pencil marks or overlapping lines in your drawing.
We want to make sure that the drawing is perfect before we start coloring it.
If you’re ready to color, take out a medium brown color and start coloring the burger bun.
Next, I’m going to color the hamburger layers.
I’ll use:
- Green for the wavy lettuce
- Red for the juicy tomato
- Yellow for the dripping cheese
- And dark brown for the yummy burger patty
Have fun and take your time coloring the burger layers.
Next, color the cola cup and the straw.
I’m going to color the straw red and white because those bring back so many memories of when I used to order milkshakes and sodas.
I’m also going to color the french fries packet a deep red.
But you can use any color you want!
Next, it’s time to color the french fries.
I am using light and dark yellow to color different types of french fries – because french fries rarely look the same color.
And I will also add some blush spots under the eyes to the food in pink color.
And I’m done!
Because I’m drawing this cute junk food digitally, I am also adding shadows and highlights. You can see how I do this by reading this post on how I color digital art.
And we’re done!
We’ve officially learned how to draw cute junk food!
Wasn’t that so much fun?
You can make greeting cards or even stick this cute drawing on the fridge!
