How to draw a cute toast step by step – Easy Beginner Tutorial

Step 1: Draw the bread slice first

Let’s draw the bread slice first.

I’m going to start by drawing a simple trough. We are using very simple shapes.

Draw the base of the toast first

Now, let’s draw the top of the bread slice.

Simply draw an oval shape or a dome shape on top of the bread.

Draw the top of the bread

Now, our bread is at an angle.

So, we need to draw the side of the bread; let’s just draw the same oval like this connecting to the previous oval.

Just follow the arrow:

Draw the side of the toast

We’re almost done.

We just need to complete the bread slice, so we have to draw the same trough connecting to the previous one.

Draw the bottom of the toast

And we’ve officially completed learning to draw the toast.

Now, you can leave it like this, or you can draw a super cute kawaii toast.

To add a cute kawaii face, just add 2 small round eyes and a “U” shaped mouth to the toast.

Make sure that the mouth is on the same level as the eyes.

We’ve drawn the cute toast.

Now, it’s time to color the toast.

Step 2: Color the toast

Let’s start by coloring the center of the toast.

Just color the toast a light cream color.

Color the inside of the toast

If you want to make your toast look more toasted, you can use a darker shade of brown.

Next, color the outside of the bread. You can use a darker shade of brown like camel brown.

Color the outside of the toast

And to add more cuteness to the bread, just add 2 blush spots to the slice of the bread.

Add blush spots to the bread

You can skip this part if you’re drawing traditionally, but you can add shadows if you’re drawing it digitally.

Now, it’s time to add the toppings to make the toast come to life and make it more colorful.

Just make sure when you’re coloring the topping on the toast, you make the shape very hand-drawn and imperfect – this will give your toast a more natural look.

You can also add highlights to the toppings to make the topping look shiny.

You can add any toping to the toast. You can add avocado butter to the toast

You can use any color topping to make your toast look pretty and colorful:

  • Pink for strawberry or fruit jam
  • Brown for chocolate or Nutella
  • Deep blue for blueberry jam
  • Green for avocado

Use your imagination and let your creativity run wild when you’re coloring your toast!
