I am currently using an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil to create my digital art.

But you can use any tool – a pen and paper or color pencils or Copic markers or Photoshop because the drawing method remains the same.

How to Draw a Cute Cartoon Fox – Step by Step for beginners

I always start with simple shapes so that anyone can do this drawing.

In this post, I’ll teach you how to draw a cute cartoon fox step by step – if you like drawing kawaii animals, you’ll love this!

Start by drawing a simple semi-circle like this – this is going to be cute fox’s head.

1 - draw the top of the fox's head

Next, let’s draw the bottom of its face – we are going to draw another semicircle but draw little waves at the sides so that we can draw the fox’s fur.

2 - draw the fox's face

Next, let’s draw the fox’s signature ears – make them big and triangular!

3 - draw the ears

We’re going to add 2 indents to showcase the inside of its large ears.

4 - draw the indent on the ears

Now, let’s make this fox super cute by drawing 2 big eyes and a small kawaii mouth – all my kawaii animals have cute eyes and a mouth.

5 - draw the eyes

Now, it’s time to draw the body.

I’m going to draw 2 C shapes like this to showcase the fox’s body.

6 - draw the body

Next, let’s draw the legs and complete the rest of the fox’s body.

7 - draw the legs

Finally, draw a little poof on its chest and let’s draw it’s huge bushy tail!

8 - draw the tail

And we’re done.

I’m just going to color the fox now. I’m going to color it a reddish-orange and add a cream texture to its chest, tail and mouth.

9 - color the whole body

I’ll also add some details like the pink for its ears and the 2 huge blush spots for its face.

10 - add 2 blush spots

Enjoy!

Learn how to create kawaii characters.

My old bud Ilaria (we’ve been friends on Instagram back when I had Instagram) created this course! I’ve watched her grow from 0 followers, and I’m so, so proud of her!

And believe it or not, there is not 1 single good online course about learning how to draw kawaii art and then making physical stickers on the internet. I’ve been looking for a course like this for a long, long time.

And it’s finally here!!!

You can create your own stickers and print them and sell them on Etsy or any space! She goes into detail about how to draw the characters.

This is by far one of the best courses I’ve taken that is so cute and so educational.

The course is in English, and it’s amazing!

What do you need?

A sketchbook, Photoshop, and a graphic tablet so that you can draw the kawaii characters. If you want to make stickers, you’ll need a printer and sticker sheets.

Even if you don’t want to make stickers and just draw kawaii characters, this course is perfect!

Sara teaches you how to draw anything in a nice kawaii style. I really love these kinds of courses because they’re so easy to learn and it’s very easy to get clients because this is a really relatable drawing style.

It is in Italian but it comes with subtitles and it’s really easy to follow.
