How to Draw a Cat Ice Cream - Draw Cartoon Style!

I love drawing cute chibi animals and food!

These types of drawings are super cute to add to any notebook or planner and they also make great drawing projects for kids.

In this post, I’m going to show you how to draw a cat ice cream step by step so that by the end of the tutorial, you’ll get something like this:

I am currently using an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil to create my digital art.

But you can use any tool – a pen and paper or color pencils or Copic markers or Photoshop because the drawing method remains the same.

How to draw a cat ice cream – Step by step for beginners

I always start with simple shapes so that anyone can do this drawing.

Let’s start with the top of the cat’s head. We’ll draw a line like this on the top center of the page.

Next, I will draw the cat’s ears. Please note that these are triangles but they’re slightly rounded so that it looks cuter.

If you nail the cat’s ears, you’ll get the cutest cat face, I promise.

Next, we are going to draw the cat’s head. I’m just going to draw a bell curve like this:

Next, we’ll draw the ice cream cone underneath the cat-shaped ice cream scoop – just draw a triangle underneath the head.

Now, we are going to erase a small portion of the head like this because we want to make the ice cream melt and drip on the cone a bit – it will look more like ice cream!

Next, we’ll draw the dribble of the ice cream over the cone – so just draw a gigantic dip like this:

I’m going to draw the eyes of the cat now:

Then, we’ll draw the mouth and add some whiskers – doesn’t it look super adorable now?

We’re done!

To complete our cat ice cream drawing, we need to color it!

So, color the cone any color you want – I’m going to color it biscuit color and even add some cross-hatching to give it that ice cream cone look!

Next, I’m going to color the cat ice cream cream (you can use any color you want) and then add 2 blush spots to give it that cute, kawaii look!

Draw kawaii characters and make stickers!
