How to Draw a Christmas Frog - Draw Cartoon Style!

Christmas is nearing!

And I love anything related to Christmas – it’s my favorite holiday.

This year, I thought I’d add multiple Christmas drawing tutorials.

All of these Christmas drawing ideas are for beginners.

I’ve already done a lot of tutorials on Christmas already that includes Rudolph, A Christmas pudding, a Christmas tree with presents, and a Christmas tree with lights.

But in this tutorial, I’ll teach you how to draw a Christmas frog with a Santa hat and a scarf. Here’s what you’ll learn:

I am currently using an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil to create my digital art.

But you can use any tool – a pen and paper or color pencils or Copic markers or Photoshop because the drawing method remains the same.

How to draw a Christmas Frog – Step by step for beginners and kids

We are going to be using straightforward shapes for this drawing tutorial.

Let’s begin by drawing the head of the frog – we’ll draw a small curve like this:

Next, we’ll draw 2 round curves at the side like this.

Now, we’ll draw the frog’s facial features.

Draw 2 round eyes and a small u shaped mouth in the center of the frog.

Now, we’ll draw the sides of the frog – so draw 2 lines like this:

Then, we’ll draw a Christmas scarf on the frog.

Next, we need to draw the frog’s arms. Draw 2 small 2 shapes under the scarf of the frog like this:

Easy, isn’t it?

Now, draw the body of the frog.

To draw the body, draw a small U shape from one end of the scarf to the other.

Next, we are going to draw the feet of the frog.

After drawing the feet, we’ll draw the frog’s tummy.

To draw the tummy, draw a curve like this inside the frog’s body.

We are done drawing the frog.

Now, let’s draw a small Santa hat on top of the frog’s head to make him look more Christmasy.

So, we’ll start by drawing a cute curve like this on top of the frog’s head.

Now, draw another curve like a mountain on top of the previous curve – but leave a little space on one side.

We are going to draw the other side of the hat now.

And lastly, we’ll draw the ball at the end of the santa hat.

And we are done drawing a Christmas frog.

Let’s color him now.

I’m going to start by coloring the frog a green color. You can color your christmas frog any color you want.

Draw kawaii characters and make stickers!

Next, color the santa hat and the scarf. I am going to go with red and green because it’s very Christmasy.

What do you need?

A sketchbook, Photoshop, and a graphic tablet so that you can draw the kawaii characters. If you want to make stickers, you’ll need a printer and sticker sheets.
