I am currently using an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil to create my digital art.

But you can use any tool – a pen and paper or color pencils or Copic markers or Photoshop because the drawing method remains the same.

How to draw a kawaii duck – Step by step for beginners

I always start with very easy shapes so that anybody of any age can draw this.

So, let’s start by drawing a simple curve like this first – this will be the duck’s head.

Next, we are going to draw the wings of the duck. So, we’re going to draw 2 curves at the side of the duck.

Next, we’ll draw the cute duck’s bottom – I am going to draw a plum-like bottom since ducks are fluffy and have nice round bottoms.

Just draw a curve with a slight indent in the middle.

It’s okay if it’s not perfect – no duck is perfect and they are all beautiful!

Next, we’ll draw the feet of the duck.

So, draw 2 cute feet underneath the duck’s bottom.

And we’re done drawing the duck’s body.

Next, draw the duck’s eyes. I’m going to draw 2 small circles like this.

Next, I’ll draw a cute beak on the duck like this:

Easy, isn’t it?

Now, to color it!

You can color it any color you want.

I’m going to color the duck a light yellow cream color.

And using a darker color and a soft brush or an air brush on Procreate, I’ll add some texture at the bottom to make it look fluffy!

And lastly, I’ll color the beak and feet orange and add 2 blush spots to make it look super kawaii!
