I love drawing cute kawaii animals and plants.
These types of drawings are super cute to add to any notebook or planner and they also make great drawing projects for kids.
You can also make stickers with these – they look super cute!
And I’ve been obsessed with drawing kawaii animals lately.
I’ve already done multiple kawaii tutorials here. So, check it out if you haven’t already.
In this post, I’m going to show you how to draw a kawaii cactus step by step so that by the end of the tutorial, you’ll get something like this:
But you can use any tool – a pen and paper or color pencils or Copic markers or Photoshop because the drawing method remains the same.
How to draw a kawaii Cactus – Step by Step for kids and beginners
I always start with very easy shapes so that anybody of any age can draw this.
So, let’s start by drawing a simple curve like this: this is going to be the top part of the cactus:
Next, we are going to draw the bunny’s ears (I’m making the cactus in the shape of a bunny).
Next, draw the sides of the cactus by drawing two more curves like this:
Now, draw 2 eyes and a small mouth on the bunny cactus.
Next, draw the rim of the cactus post, right underneath the cactus like this.
Next, I’ll draw the rest of the pot and even add the cactus needles on the cactus.
Ain’t he cute?
Let’s add some color.
You can color the cactus any color you want – I’m going with green- I’m also going to add some detailing on the ears.
Next, add some details – I’m going to add some green needles on the cactus and even add 2 blush spots.
Lastly, I’ll color the pot.
We’ve just finished drawing our cute kawaii cactus.

And believe it or not, there is not 1 single good online course about learning how to draw kawaii art and then making physical stickers on the internet. I’ve been looking for a course like this for a long, long time.
And it’s finally here!!!
You can create your own stickers and print them and sell them on Etsy or any space! She goes into detail about how to draw the characters.
This is by far one of the best courses I’ve taken that is so cute and so educational.
The course is in English, and it’s amazing!
What do you need?
A sketchbook, Photoshop, and a graphic tablet so that you can draw the kawaii characters. If you want to make stickers, you’ll need a printer and sticker sheets.
Even if you don’t want to make stickers and just draw kawaii characters, this course is perfect!
And if you are really keen on improving your drawings or you want to create cute kawaii animals and kawaii people, check out this second course by Sara.
