How to Draw a Cute Frog Face - Draw Cartoon Style!

I love drawing cute chibi animals.

These types of drawings are super cute to add to any notebook or planner and they also make great drawing projects for kids.

In this post, I’m going to show you how to draw a cute frog face step by step so that by the end of the tutorial, you’ll get something like this:

I am currently using an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil to create my digital art.

But you can use any tool – a pen and paper or color pencils or Copic markers or Photoshop because the drawing method remains the same.

How to draw a cute frog face – Step by step for beginners

I always start with simple shapes so that anyone can do this drawing.

Let’s start with the top of the frog’s face.

Next, I will draw the curves on the side of the head like this – just draw 2 big curves:

Chibi animals are usually round and short so this is how we achieve the chibi look with our small frog.

Next, we are going to draw the rest of the head of the frog. Let’s draw a huge C-shaped curve like this:

Next, we are going to draw the frog’s eyes – so draw 2 big circles and color them.

Now, we are going to draw the frog’s mouth – draw a small smile like this on the frog’s face.

We’re done!

To complete our frog drawing, we need to color its face.

So, color the frog’s face green.

Next, we’ll add 2 cute blush spots underneath the frog’s eyes to make the frog’s face very cute!

Draw kawaii characters and make stickers!

What do you need?

A sketchbook, Photoshop, and a graphic tablet so that you can draw the kawaii characters. If you want to make stickers, you’ll need a printer and sticker sheets.
