How to Draw a Kawaii Cute Tiger Face

I love drawing cute chibi animals.

These types of drawings are super cute to add to any notebook or planner and they also make great drawing projects for kids.

I’ve already done a lot of tutorials on drawing cute and kawaii animals that you can check out here.

In this post, I’m going to show you how to draw a cute kawaii tiger face step by step so that by the end of the tutorial, you’ll get something like this:

I am currently using an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil to create my digital art.

But you can use any tool – a pen and paper or color pencils or Copic markers or Photoshop because the drawing method remains the same.

How to Draw a kawaii tiger face – Step by Step for Beginners

I always start with simple and easy shapes.

We’ll start by drawing the top of the cute tiger’s head – I’m just going to draw a small slight curve like this.

Next, we’ll draw the little tiger’s ears – so I’m going to draw 2 large C shaped curves like this:

Take your time with this – these shapes are crucial to getting your tiger looking just right.

Now remember, it’s not necessary for your shapes to look perfect. The more imperfect it is, the more cute it will actually look.

We will draw the rest of the tiger’s head like below:

And your tiger head is done!

Let’s finish this tiger drawing by drawing 2 eyes and a nose.

Then, let’s draw the stripes on the tiger!

We’re going to start with the stripes on the tiger’s cheeks.

5 - draw the stripes on the side of the face

Next, we’ll draw stripes on top of the tiger’s head like this:

6 - draw the stripes on top of the tiger's face

And we’re done!

Let’s color our handsome tiger face!

We’ll color the whole tiger’s face orange.

Then, we’ll color the ears a lighter orange and add a small white accent on the bottom part of the face.

Last, we’ll just add 2 blush spots and we’re done!

Draw kawaii characters and make stickers!
