How to Draw a Cute Kawaii Bear - Draw Cartoon Style!

I love drawing cute animals.

These types of drawings are super cute to add to any notebook or planner and they also make great drawing projects for kids.

And I’ve been obsessed with drawing kawaii animals lately.

In this post, I’m going to show you how to draw a brown bear step by step so that by the end of the tutorial, you’ll get a cute brown bear drawing like this:

I am currently using an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil to create my digital art.

But you can use any tool – a pen and paper or color pencils or Copic markers or Photoshop because the drawing method remains the same.

How to draw a brown bear – Step by step for beginners

I always start with very easy shapes so that anybody of any age can draw this.

So, let’s start by drawing a simple curve like this: this is going to be the top part of the head of the bear. I’m also going to draw 2 small ears. Remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect.

Next, we are going to draw the bear’s face – so draw 2 curves underneath the bear’s ears like this:

Next, draw the bear’s eyes and nose – draw a small line underneath the nose.

Now, draw the sides of the bear – 2 more curves.

Now, draw the bear’s legs – and connect them with a line like this – see how easy it is?

Next, I’ll draw the arms – so I’m going to draw 2 arms like this:

Ain’t he cute?

We’re done.

Let’s add some color.

You can color the bear any color you want – I’m going with chocolate brown.

Next, add some details – I’m also going to color his cheeks pink.

We’re done!

We’ve just finished drawing our cute brown bear.
