But you can use any tool – a pen and paper or color pencils or Copic markers or Photoshop because the drawing method remains the same.

How to draw a kawaii narwhal – Step by step for beginners

I always start with very easy shapes so that anybody of any age can draw this.

So, let’s start by drawing a simple circle like this: this is going to be the narwhal – we are going to use it as a template.

1 - draw a circle

Next, we are going to draw almost 2/3rd of the circle. This is going to be the Narwhal’s body.

2 - draw the outline of the narwhal

Next, extend the bottom part of the circle like this to make the narwhal’s tail.

3 - draw a small extension

Now, extend the top part of the circle like this but don’t touch the two lines – they are going to be the narwhal’s tail!

4 - draw the top part of the tail

So, draw 2 cute tail fins at the tail.

6 - draw the tail fins

Next, I’ll draw a small horn near the front of the narwhal’s face.

6 - draw the horn of the narwhal

Now, erase the overlapping lines. And draw the indentations of the narwhal’s horn – ain’t that cute?

7 - draw the indentations on the horn

Next, erase the circle, we don’t need it anymore and draw 2 little fins side by side on the narwhal.

8 - draw the fins

Lastly, draw 2 eyes and a small mouth on our cute narwhal – ain’t that a cutie?

9 - draw the eyes and mouth of the narwhal

Easy, isn’t it?

Now, to color it!

You can color it any color you want.

I’m going to color the narwhal a cute blue color.

10 - color the narwhal

Next, use a lighter color to color its tummy.

11 - color its belly

And lastly, I’ll color the horn and add 2 blush spots to make the narwhal super cute.

We’re done!
