Christmas is approaching.
This year, I thought I’d add multiple easy Christmas Drawing tutorials for both – beginners and kids.
These are easy to draw and can be drawn on Christmas cards, Christmas postcards, banners, you name it!
I’ve already done a lot of tutorials on Christmas already that includes Rudolph, A Christmas Gnome, A Christmas pudding, a Christmas tree with presents, and a Christmas tree with lights and a Christmas Guinea Pig.
But in this tutorial, I’ll teach you how to draw a Christmas Stocking – this is what everyone hangs on their mantle piece. You’ll get something like this at the end of this drawing tutorial:

I am currently using an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil to create my digital art.
But you can use any tool – a pen and paper or colored pencils or Copic markers or Photoshop because the drawing method remains the same.
How to draw a Christmas Stocking – Step by step for beginners and kids
We are going to be using very simple shapes.
Let’s start with a simple shape first like this:

This is going to be the hem of the stocking on the top – the fluffy part.
Next, we’ll draw 2 straight lines downward like this:

Next, I’ll draw the foot of the stocking – a gentle curve.

We can complete the Christmas stocking by drawing 2 little patches on the end like this:

Finally, we’ll draw a small cute face on the stocking to make it more kawaii.
Just draw 2 small eyes and a small u shaped mouth. You can also add a small loop at the end.

And we’ve completed drawing the Christmas stocking.
Now, we can color it!
I’m going to color it green and red to make it look more Christmasy but you can use any colors you want.

I will finally add some design on the Christmas stocking to give it a flair and I’ll add 2 blush spots.

And that’s it!
We’ve learned how to draw a Christmas stocking.

If you are interested in drawing anything in a kawaii style and then selling stickers online, check out this amazing course!
My friend Ilaria created this course on Domestika – she’s been drawing cute things for years and she’s finally created a course that teaches people how to make cute kawaii drawings and then make stickers and sell them!
It’s honestly one of the cutest and most inexpensive courses that you can get – especially if you want to sell stickers in your online store – like Etsy or Creative Market.
The course is in English, and it’s amazing!
What do you need?
A sketchbook, Photoshop or Procreate, and a graphic tablet so that you can draw the kawaii characters. If you want to make stickers, you’ll need a printer and sticker sheets. I explain how to make stickers on Procreate here.
Even if you don’t want to make stickers and just draw kawaii animals, this course is perfect!
