How to draw a cute Cinnamon Roll – Step by step for beginners

I wanted to teach you how to draw a cute cinnamon roll but at the same time, I’m going to spice it up by making it kawaii and making it look like a cat.

Most kawaii foods have this feature – they resemble some cute animal.

Let’s get started!

We’re going to draw a small bump like this – this is going to be the top of the cinnamon roll.

Next, we’ll draw 2 curves like this around the bigger curve.

2 - draw 2 more curves

We are going to repeat this process and draw 2 more huge curves beneath the ones we already drew – these are going to be the cinnamon roll layers.

3 - draw 2 more curves

It’s okay if they don’t look even – it doesn’t have to be realistic. The whole point of drawing these hand-drawn cartoons is for them to look hand-drawn.

Next, we’ll complete the cinnamon roll by drawing the huge bun underneath.

4 - draw the bun

Now, since it’s a kawaii cinnamon roll, draw 2 ears like this behind the bun.

5 - draw the ears

Now, you’re going to draw the frosting – just draw a squiggly line like this – some uneven U shapes and you’ll have your frosting!

6 - draw the frosting

Finally, draw two eyes and a small mouth on the cat cinnamon roll!

7 - add a cute face

Done!

Ain’t he cute?

Now, it’s time to color our little cinnamon roll.

First, I’ll start out with the base colors. Remember to color it any color you want!

8 - color the cinnamon bun

Now, I’ll add that swirl so it looks like a cinnamon roll and also add 2 cute blush spots!

9 - add a cute face

Learn how to create kawaii characters.

My old bud Ilaria (we’ve been friends on Instagram back when I had Instagram) created this course! I’ve watched her grow from 0 followers, and I’m so, so proud of her!

And believe it or not, there is not 1 single good online course about learning how to draw kawaii art and then making physical stickers on the internet. I’ve been looking for a course like this for a long, long time.

And it’s finally here!!!

You can create your own stickers and print them and sell them on Etsy or any space! She goes into detail about how to draw the characters.

This is by far one of the best courses I’ve taken that is so cute and so educational.

The course is in English, and it’s amazing!

What do you need?

A sketchbook, Photoshop, and a graphic tablet so that you can draw the kawaii characters. If you want to make stickers, you’ll need a printer and sticker sheets.

Even if you don’t want to make stickers and just draw kawaii characters, this course is perfect!
