How to draw a kawaii crepe – Step by step for beginners

I wanted to teach you how to draw a cute crepe but at the same time, I’m going to spice it up by adding a small cute frog on it! Make sure you check out all of my cute kawaii frog drawing tutorials here!

Most kawaii foods have this feature – they resemble some cute animal.

Let’s get started!

We’re going to draw the bottom of the crepe – it’s usually held in a wrapping paper and is in the shape of a cone – I had this when I was in Thailand. It was super tasty!

So, draw a cone first:

1 - draw the packaging

Now just to add some cuteness – I’m going to add a little heart to it.

2 - draw a design

The crepe is folded in, so let’s draw one corner of the crep like this – just bring the corner to a point.

3 - start drawing the crepe

Do the other side as well. I’m going to add the little frog in the center using simple shapes.

4 - draw the other side of the crepe and the frog

Now, I’ll add a small face to the cute frog.

5 - draw a cute kawaii frog

Now, we can start drawing the filling in the crepe. It’s usually filled with sweet things like cream cheese or strawberries – so just draw cute round shapes in the crepe. This is going to be the creme cheese.

6 - draw the cream

I’ll add some strawberries too!

7 - draw strawberries

Now, we’re done drawing the crepe, let’s start coloring!

First, I’ll color the packaging of the crepe – color it any color you want!

8 - color the packaging

Next, I’ll color the cream cheese and color the wafer crepe – I’m going to draw lines on the crepe to add more texture.

9 - color the crepe

I’ll add some light and shadows too! – I teach how to do this in procreate in my tutorial on coloring.

Learn how to create kawaii characters.

My old bud Ilaria (we’ve been friends on Instagram back when I had Instagram) created this course! I’ve watched her grow from 0 followers, and I’m so, so proud of her!

And believe it or not, there is not 1 single good online course about learning how to draw kawaii art and then making physical stickers on the internet. I’ve been looking for a course like this for a long, long time.

And it’s finally here!!!

You can create your own stickers and print them and sell them on Etsy or any space! She goes into detail about how to draw the characters.

This is by far one of the best courses I’ve taken that is so cute and so educational.

The course is in English, and it’s amazing!

What do you need?

A sketchbook, Photoshop, and a graphic tablet so that you can draw the kawaii characters. If you want to make stickers, you’ll need a printer and sticker sheets.

Even if you don’t want to make stickers and just draw kawaii characters, this course is perfect!
