How to Draw Cute Kawaii French Fries

I have recently developed an addiction to drawing food in a kawaii style. And I love french fries – who doesn’t?

I’ve already covered a cute tutorial on drawing junk food here and I’ve even covered another tutorial on drawing a cute hamburger here.

So today, I’ll teach you how to draw cute kawaii french fries.

This is such a great kid’s project! And these make adorable stickers.

How to draw cute kawaii french fries step by step – Easy tutorial for beginners

Please note that I’m using Procreate and drawing this digitally.

You can even use Clip Art Studio as it is beautiful software that most digital artists use, including Manga and Anime artists.

I talk more about how I got started with digital art here.

You can use any tool you want to make this drawing because the process basically is the same. You can use color pencils, pens or crayons – it’s completely your choice!

Let’s begin.

Step 1: Draw the french fries packet

Let’s start by drawing the french fries packet.

We are going to draw the sides of the french fries packet first.

Next, we’re going to draw the bottom of the packet – so just draw a straight line connecting the other 2 lines.

Now, draw a small rim at the top of the packet in the center – it’s going to be a little curve like this:

Then, draw 2 more lines connecting at the top connecting to the sides of the french fries packet.

We’re done drawing the packet.

Let’s add a cute little face to make this french fries more kawaii!

I’m going to draw a smiley face.

Next, draw some fries like this:

And now, add more french fries!

Just draw more fries – and make sure you alternate the sizes so it looks more natural.

Wasn’t that easy?

Now, we’ve finished drawing the french fries, let’s color it!

Step 2: Color the kawaii french fries

Since french fries packets are mostly red, I’m going to color the packet red.

You can choose any color you want!

Next, I’ll add some details to the packet – by adding a yellow stripe on top and a white stripe on the bottom – I’ll also add 2 blush spots to make the french fries more kawaii!

Next, I’ll color the fries yellow. Make some darker to show that the fries are fried more!

And we’re done drawing and coloring the kawaii french fries.
