How to Draw a Cute Coffee Pot

If you’ve been reading my website for a while, you’ll discover I love food and drawing food even more.

Some of my favorite things to draw are hot drinks like coffee, pumpkin spice latte, and so on.

In this post, I thought I’d try something different and draw a cute coffee pot instead.

Coffee mugs and pots are super easy and cute to draw and they make great planner stickers. If you love drawing cute things, you can check out my post here on how to make stickers on Procreate.

It’s also motivated me to open a sticker shop – details will be out soon!

In this post, I will teach you to draw a cute coffee pot. This also makes a cute drawing for kids also.

How to draw a cute kawaii coffee pot – Easy tutorial for beginners

Please note that I’m using Procreate and drawing this digitally.

I talk more about how I got started with digital art here.

You can use any tool you want to make this drawing because the process is basically the same. You can use color pencils, pens or crayons – it’s completely your choice!

Let’s begin.

Step 1: Draw the coffee pot

We’re going to use very simple shapes.

Let’s start with a big circle. But once you draw the circle, erase a bit of the top off like this:

Draw a circle with the top cut off

This is going to be our coffee pot. It’s going to be round so that it’s extra cute.

Next, draw a nice straight line on top of the circle horizontally like this:

Draw a line on top of the circle

Next, on one side of the coffee pot, draw a small raised curve like this:

Draw a small inclination

You’re going to want to draw a line from that curve back to the circle like this in one quick motion – this will make the curve very steep and inclined.

Draw the top of the coffee pot

Now, it’s time to draw the handle of the coffee pot.

I’m going to draw the bottom part of the handle like this

Draw a curve on one side

And then draw the outer edge of the handle like this:

Draw the outside edge of the coffee pot handle

And finally, finish the drawing by drawing the upper part of the coffee pot handle.

We now have a good strong outline of the coffee pot.

Now, we can add some details.

Draw the top part of the coffee pot

Let’s begin by adding 1 line underneath the top of the coffee pot – this will be the base of the plastic top.

Draw a line underneath the top of the pot

And now, we can draw some coffee inside the coffee pot. Just draw a nice neat semi-circle inside the big circle.

Since the coffee pot is made of glass, the coffee will be visible.

You can leave it like this or add a cute kawaii face to your coffee pot.

I’m going to add 2 small eyes and a small U-shaped mouth like this:

Draw a cute kawaii face on the coffee pot

Now that we’re done drawing the coffee pot, we can color it any which way we want it.

Step 2: Color the coffee pot

I’m going to start by coloring the top part dark brown just because I like the color. You can color it any color you want!

And then I’m going to color the glass a light pleasant blue.

Color the top of the coffee pot

Next, I’m going to color the coffee a dark brown like this.

Color the coffee and the rest of the pot

And finally, I’ll add 2 pink blush spots to add some cuteness to the coffee pot.

Add blush spots to the coffee pot and you'll have learned how to draw a cute coffee pot

Alright, and we’re done.

We’ve officially learned how to draw and color a coffee pot.

Learn how to create kawaii characters.

My old bud Ilaria (we’ve been friends on Instagram back when I had Instagram) created this course! I’ve watched her grow from 0 followers, and I’m so, so proud of her!

And believe it or not, there is not 1 single good online course about learning how to draw kawaii art and then making physical stickers on the internet. I’ve been looking for a course like this for a long, long time.

And it’s finally here!!!

You can create your own stickers and print them and sell them on Etsy or any space! She goes into detail about how to draw the characters.

This is by far one of the best courses I’ve taken that is so cute and so educational.

The course is in English, and it’s amazing!

What do you need?

A sketchbook, Photoshop, and a graphic tablet so that you can draw the kawaii characters. If you want to make stickers, you’ll need a printer and sticker sheets.

Even if you don’t want to make stickers and just draw kawaii characters, this course is perfect!
