How to draw an Ice Cream Cone with Sprinkles Step by Step

I have recently developed an addiction to drawing food in a kawaii style. And it’s a fact that I love milk. So, in this post, I thought I’ll teach you how to draw a cute ice cream with sprinkles.

How to draw an ice cream with sprinkes step by step – Easy tutorial for beginners

Please note that I’m using Procreate and drawing this digitally.

You can even use Clip Art Studio as it is beautiful software that most digital artists use, including Manga and Anime artists.

You can use any tool you want to make this drawing because the process basically is the same. You can use color pencils, pens or crayons – it’s completely your choice!

Let’s begin.

Step 1: Draw the outline first

Let’s start by drawing the cone first – so please draw this at the bottom of the page, because the ice cream scoops will be on top of the cone.

We are just going to draw an inverted triangle as the ice cream cone.

Next, we’re going to draw the melting part of the ice cream scoop – so draw a wavy line like this over the cone.

It’s okay if the line is bigger than the cone – the scoop always overlaps it.

Next, draw the ice cream scoop – a nice big circle like this:

Next, draw a small face on the ice cream scoop.

It’s optional – but I like doing this with my drawings because it adds a cute personality to the ice cream cone.

We’re done drawing our ice cream!

Now we’ll color it and add the sprinkles while coloring the ice cream cone.

Step 2: Color the ice cream cone

You can color the cone any color you want – I am going to use the traditional biscuit brown color since that’s my favorite.

Next, I’ll color the scoop pink because I love pink – you can color the scoop any color you want.

Make it chocolate, or vanilla, or mint!

I’m also going to add some wavy lines at the bottom of the scoop to give the cone some texture.

Next, I’ll add the cream frosting on top of the ice cream. I’m going to do that in white.

And finally, I’ll add colorful sprinkles on the top – use any color you want to draw your sprinkles.

And we’re done!

What do you need?

A sketchbook, Photoshop, and a graphic tablet so that you can draw the kawaii characters. If you want to make stickers, you’ll need a printer and sticker sheets.
